OFFICE PDX IS AN ONLINE PORTFOLIO, DESIGN AND ART STORE, A POP UP RETAILER AND AN INTERNATIONALLY AWARD-WINNING GRAPHIC DESIGN STUDIO. We provide quality products, art, events and graphic design -- since 2005. We specialize in selling portfolio covers and presentation tools. We also make retro-inspired products. And, we design posters, identities, icons, marketing collateral and websites. OFFICE PDX is considered the "go-to" retail source for designers across all disciplines - architecture, interiors, industrial, apparel, interactive and graphic design.
OWNED BY AN AWARD-WINNING HUSBAND AND WIFE DESIGN + MARKETING TEAM:
Tony Secolo is our Owner and Creative Director. He is responsible for working with our customers on all orders to ensure world class customer service for online / phone / special orders, for designing our wholesale product, and all of our graphic design projects. A designer with serious chops (without the attitude), Secolo has been able to help a multitude of designers and design firms find the perfect product and create the perfect portfolio. Prior to opening OFFICE PDX, he was a designer at Getty Images and several boutique agencies in Seattle, WA. He is also a graduate of Cornish College of the Arts. Secolo specializes in designing: logos, identity systems, marketing collateral, rock n roll merch, and websites. His current and past work have been featured in several international design competitions and publications, while his store has been featured twice in The New York Times. See Client list below.
Kelly Coller is Owner and Marketing Director for OFFICE PDX where she is responsible for community outreach, public relations, special events, sponsorship opportunities and all media inquiries. She is also the Marketing Director for award-winning retail design and marketing firm, Twenty Four Seven. Previously, she was with ZIBA and before then, spent several years as the Director of Business Development for NBBJ’s highly lauded and profitable Branding + Design Studio. She also serves on the board for the Portland Institute of Contemporary Art. She is a sought after speaker, writer, mentor and connector on the topic of branding, business development, marketing, and design - for professional service firms as well as for brands big and small.
As part of OFFICE PDX, they make up the team that designs innovative graphic design solutions for clients including but not limited to Death Cab for Cutie, Producer Chris Walla, Two Sticks Audio, The City of Portland, bside6 workspace, and Bridge Partners Consulting.
Coller and Secolo have been hailed as “retail revolutionaries” by the Willamette Week, among other publications.
DESIGN AESTHETIC: The concept behind OFFICE PDX harkens back to the 1950’s when form, function, affordability and design without pretense were combined to create social change. Coller and Secolo have coined their aesthetic “blue-collar mid-century modern.” and are always on the hunt for the most interesting, functional and affordable designed products -- supported by their innovative design education, art and retail events.
POP-UP "TIME-BASED" RETAIL EVENTS: Always ahead of the game, OFFICE PDX reinvented the retail game again by launching a new retail format that goes beyond "pop-up retail" by creating a new brand, inspired by PICA, called "time-based retail" -- where they bring together all of the elements that have made OFFICE PDX such a strong brand in the design community, into one event on the last Wednesday of every month. Their location changes, with venues that represent the latest and greatest in existing or soon-to-be-launched interior spaces. For these events, OFFICE PDX curates and produces events that mash up art openings with trunk shows, panel discussions with the "whos who of design" and of course, cocktails by Portland’s own New Deal Vodka. Since it’s inception, OFFICE PDX has produced more than 50 innovative, educational, and entertaining retail and design-based events. These events are considered by many to represent some of the best and most valuable to the creative class. See our EVENTS section for a full listing.
ACCOLADES: OFFICE PDX has been hailed as a favorite and go-to resource by top creative agencies in architecture, graphic design, interior design, industrial design, and advertising, along with artists, musicians and design movers and shakers. OFFICE PDX has been mentioned twice (in less than four years) in THE NEW YORK TIMES, and has been festured in HOW magazine, Daily Candy, Design*Sponge and other prestigious print and online publications (See PRESS section).
MISSION: The mission of OFFICE PDX is to support, inspire and inform design professionals, students and appreciators everywhere. We do this by providing innovative office-related products, art, time-based retail and design events, and graphic design services -- with world-class customer service and real-world expertise.
