Home Depot Bathroom Lighting is an important factor in your bathroom’s attractiveness and usability. Good lighting makes priming at the mirror easier and nicer. Whether you are replacing an old luminaire in a new bathroom, the lighting becomes a focal point in the room. Before shopping for a new bathroom fixture, review the current fixture in the wall above the mirror.
Turn off the electricity to the bathroom on your house electric service panel. Make sure there is no electricity flowing to the bathroom lighting electric boxes by turning the light switch on and off. If there is no existing fixture, point to a circuit tester to the exposed wires to confirm the lack of electrical current. Run a worktop under the edge of the plate if it does not come off easily. Connect the cables and set aside the fixture. Skip this step if there is no existing luminaire.
Remove the old bracket by loosening the screws. Mount the bracket that came with the bathroom fixture by screwing it to the electric field. Examine the wires coming out of the wall. If the ends of the wires are worn, cut them and strip one-half inch of the insulation from the wires by capturing the wire in the appropriate size hole in a cable shaver and pulling cable shackles toward you. Attach the bathroom fixture’s wires to the wires coming from the wall by rotating the exposed terminal wires together and covering them with a plastic nut that comes with the fixture.
